On September 22, Hainan Puli Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. announced that it had recently signed a framework cooperation agreement on DNA vaccines with Celsion Corporation of the US biopharmaceutical. Commercial batch supply after approval.

The announcement stated that Puli Pharmaceuticals and Celsion have cooperated for many years and have established a successful cooperative relationship. This cooperation is the second cooperation between the company and Celsion after the first DNA new drug project cooperation. The first cooperation project between the two parties is GEN-1, which integrates the DNA plasmid encoding IL-12 into a unique nanoparticle delivery system. Celsion is conducting a phase I/II OVATION 2 trial, combining GEN-1 with chemotherapy to treat newly diagnosed advanced ovarian cancer. Puli Pharmaceuticals produced clinical batch samples for the study. DNA vaccines and mRNA vaccines are both nucleic acid vaccines, which are called "third-generation vaccine technology" in the industry. The principle of DNA vaccine is to make the DNA encoding the antigen protein into the vaccine, enter the human body and express the antigen in the body to induce the human body to produce an immune response, so that the vaccinators can obtain the corresponding immune protection ability, with rapid development and production, strong immunity, and safety The advantage is that it can be stored for a long time at room temperature.
